I visited this cozy little gem on 10.23.2024 and ordered the house special noodle, spring rolls, and black bean fish. Just a heads up, they only accept cash and seating is limited, but I actually enjoyed sitting at the counter right in front of the cooking action. We arrived a bit before opening at 5:10, and within minutes a line started forming behind us. The food came out fresh and delicious. It was savory, warm, and just what I needed. The portions were more than generous for the $8 price tag, and the flavors were robust. I love finding hidden spots like this in the city, and I would happily wait in line again for another taste of their amazing dishes. Definitely worth a visit!

Calling all noodle lovers! If you're in the mood for a simple yet delicious meal, look no further than the house noodles at this hidden gem of a restaurant. The noodles themselves are perfectly cooked and coated in just the right amount of oil, allowing the other ingredients like pork, fried garlic, and cilantro to shine through. For those who like a little kick, don't forget to add the optional chili oil for an extra burst of flavor. And the best part? This belly-filling bowl of goodness will only set you back $8 - a steal for the amount of flavor packed into each bite. Just remember to bring cash, as this cozy spot doesn't take cards. Speaking of cozy, the restaurant itself is a small hole in the wall with limited seating, so be prepared for a potential wait if you plan on dining in. My go-to move is to order take out and head over to Dolores Park to enjoy my meal al fresco. I've found that calling ahead about 20 minutes before I arrive ensures that my order is ready to go when I walk in the door. So if you're craving a taste of home in the form of a warm bowl of noodles, make sure to stop by and give these house noodles a try. Your taste buds will thank you!

Hey there foodies! If you're in the Mission district and craving some delicious Burmese and Asian flavors, Yamo is the spot for you. Yes, it's tiny, but don't let that deter you - the food here is worth the wait. My friend and I popped in on a Thursday evening and we were pleasantly surprised by the quick service. Waiting just a short while to be seated, we dove into their menu of classic dishes. The tea leaf salad was a spicy delight, followed by the black bean fish and the Yamo house noodles - which were absolutely heavenly. Be sure to bring cash, as they are a cash-only establishment, and don't forget to grab a drink from the fridge when you order your meal. The food here is affordable, flavorful, and made with love. At just $26 for our entire meal, we left feeling satisfied and eager to come back for more. So, if you're in the mood for some tasty Asian cuisine, head on over to Yamo and prepare to be wowed!

I stumbled upon this hidden gem in the city and I am so glad I did. The prices here are unbeatable, with every item on the menu priced at $8 or less. And let me tell you, the food is absolutely delicious and bursting with flavor. The owner, Michelle, was so friendly and welcoming to all the customers. Just a heads up, the hours listed on Yelp may not be accurate. When I arrived, it said they were open but the sign on the door said closed. Luckily, they were just about to open up for the day. It seems like they have their own schedule, so I would recommend giving them a call before heading over. Overall, I had a fantastic experience at this restaurant and I can't wait to go back for more tasty and affordable dishes. Definitely a must-try spot in the city!
